Restoring Readiness & Lethality
With the U.S. Navy’s budget of FY 2018 increasing by $ 12.6 billion (7 percent) over FY 2017, the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) is delighted to produce the North Surface Warships Summit. The Summit will explore the U.S. Navy’s Strategy in the context of the Department of Defense’s latest National Defense Strategy, as well as the latest news and advancements in technologies that increase surface warships self-defense and survivability. It will also take a closer look at the process of restoring readiness and modernization of the surface combatant force.
Join us in Norfolk, VA this October 24 – October 26 as we host Navy Commanders, Operators and experts from the acquisition community to prepare for naval readiness, modernization, and expansion. IDGA conducts research to understand the critical nature of the program and values your participation to help advance government operations.

• Address concerns relevant to the DoDs plan to restore readiness and modernization
• Identify opportunities for industry to provide the best surface warship solutions with a range of capabilities across the full spectrum of naval threats and crises
• Discuss requirements and modifications that allow surface warships to sustain and adapt
• Look at transforming strategies that support modern sea control and interdiction objectives
